FAQ for Musicians & Music Producers

At Plusmetrica / SliceThePie, we take your music’s security and confidentiality seriously. Below are the most frequently asked questions about how we protect your tracks.

How do you ensure my music won’t be leaked or downloaded?

• We use advanced security measures to make sure your music cannot be accessed, downloaded, or shared outside our platform.

• No Downloads – Tracks are streamed using HLS encryption, which prevents file downloads, even with developer tools.

• Temporary Playback Links – Every song has a unique signed link that expires within minutes, preventing unauthorized sharing.

• No Replays or Rewinds – Reviewers can only listen once and cannot rewind or replay a track.

Will my artist name and track title be visible to reviewers?

• No. The review process is completely anonymous.

• Reviewers never see the artist name, track title, or any metadata.

• The only thing they get is the audio itself—they have no way to identify who created the track.

• This ensures that feedback is unbiased and based solely on the music itself.

How much of my track will reviewers hear?

• Each reviewer can only listen to the first 3 minutes of your track.

• They cannot rewind or replay the song.

• They cannot listen beyond the allowed time.

• This ensures your full song is never exposed or leaked.

Can reviewers choose which songs they review?

• No, the system randomly assigns songs to reviewers based on a priority queue.

• Reviewers cannot select specific songs to review.

• Songs are not sorted by genre, artist, or popularity.

• The next track is always unknown to the reviewer—they do not know what they will hear next.

• This eliminates bias and ensures every track receives fair and fresh feedback.

Can someone record my song using screen recording or developer tools?

• No. We have multiple security layers to prevent unauthorized recording.

• Audio Encryption – Songs are streamed using AES-128 HLS encryption, meaning they cannot be extracted from the source.

• Blocked Developer Tools – Attempting to inspect or extract files results in an expired session.

• Cloudflare Security – Protects against bots, automated scraping, and unauthorized access.

• No one can access your song outside our platform.

Where is my music stored? Is it public?

• Your track is stored securely in an encrypted cloud storage system (Amazon S3).

• Tracks are never publicly accessible.

• Only our internal system has access to serve the track for playback under strict security conditions.

• After processing, only the first 3-minute preview is available for review—your full song is never exposed.

Who has access to my full song?

• Only you (the uploader) and our secure system have access to the full track.

• Reviewers never hear the full song—only a limited 3-minute preview.

• Our staff does not review your song manually—the system handles everything automatically.

• Your track remains private at all times.

How do you prevent leaks or piracy?

• We take multiple steps to ensure your song stays protected

• Watermarked Playback – Songs are streamed in a way that makes unauthorized recording traceable.

• Session-Based Playback – A song can only be played once per reviewer.

• Geo and IP-Based Restrictions – Prevents unauthorized access from external sources.

What happens after my track is reviewed?

• Your track remains securely stored for analysis and reporting.

• The review data is compiled and sent only to you.

• No reviewer has ongoing access to the song after they complete their review.

• If you choose to remove your track, we can permanently delete it from our servers.
