Immediately, I was drawn in by the build up of the first verse that led to a sweet intimate chorus. The artist has a gift for storytelling and intimacy. The lyrics of the song seem rather forced As if a woman’s diary entry was forced to fit a pre-existing Melody rather than arising organically. Resulting in a piece it’s rather basic as if it’s from a template or a manufactured song reminiscent of the tracks one would select that are instrumental on websites such as YouTube or TikTok. it is though the melody and the words are not meant for each other. It’s like somebody took a woman’s diary entry and made it fit this Melody they are not meant for each other. The intro beat sounds beautiful I was hoping for a much better song it didn’t do much changing after the initial intro it’s just the same beats all through the song and I got rather bored. it’s like creators settled on a basic uninterest song and then forced the lyrics to fit it. Given the excessive amount of lyrics and the singers monotone voice it kind of reminds me of a woman who’s just blabbing on and on but yet her words have no power. Just a series of breathy sentences about love of some sort on the verge of sounding like Charlie Brown’s mother. I zoned out and stopped listening to the words altogether. The forced lyrics result in a inconsistent verse in chorus pattern which leads to a disjointed listening experience. The isolated beat at the intro had potential although it has been done before however It is unremarkable intends to drag Contributing to an overall feeling of monotony. The rhythm of the lyrics seems erratic once again because they are most likely forced to fit and I found myself wishing there was more cohesiveness. All in all this seems like one of those it’s Friday songs where some rich dad picked a song from a large binder of pre-recorded tempos with for his daughter with basic talent to sing yet there’s really not much talent involved and it lacks the heart and soul of an artist who struggled and earned their spot in the music scene.10/09/2024

Nice, guitar sound and melody at the start. The vocal is great, with some really lush backing vocals. The melody did some nice tings that really conveyed emotion, particularly when it went high - really good. Approaching halfway I wondered what it would do to stay interesting. I think the backing track is very calm and relaxing and the words in the song is telling a story however i think the backing track should be a bit quieter so u can hear her voice more.
